Man charged with rape over weekend | Crime
Saturday evening the Vicksburg Police Department arrested 43-year-old Chester Jenkins. Jenkins was charged with rape after a female reported Jenkins had sexually assaulted her.
He is being held on $35,000 bond, according to the police department.
Also Saturday, VPD took a report of a burglary in the 1500 block of Rosedown Street. A video game system, pistol, laptop and shotgun were reported stolen.
Sunday night VPD took a report of burglary in the 1100 block of Farmer Street. A TV was reported stolen.
